This Privacy Policy explains how the website ccifa-connect.com (the "Site") collects, uses and protects the personal data of its users. Protecting your privacy is a priority: we are committed to processing your data transparently, fairly and securely, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable French data-protection law.

1. Data Controller

The Site is published by the Franco-Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFA), a non-profit association governed by the French law of 1 July 1901, with its registered office at 2, rue Henri Barbusse, 13241 Marseille Cedex 1, France, registered under number SIREN 488 404 583.

2. Data We Collect

We only collect data necessary for the purposes described below:

  • Identification and contact data: last name, first name, email address, telephone.
  • Professional data: company, position, business sector, expertise, profile information — necessary for business networking.
  • Account data: login credentials and preferences.
  • Usage and technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, via cookies (see section 8).
  • Data you voluntarily provide: messages and connection requests.

We do not collect "sensitive" data and we never sell your data.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

The Site is a business-to-business (B2B) networking platform connecting experts and companies in Armenia and France. Your data is processed to:

  • create and manage your member account (basis: performance of the contract / terms of use);
  • operate the directory and enable business networking between members (basis: performance of the contract / legitimate interest);
  • send information and newsletters via Brevo (basis: your consent, which may be withdrawn at any time);
  • respond to your requests and communicate with you (basis: legitimate interest);
  • measure audience, improve and secure the Site (basis: your consent for audience-measurement cookies / legitimate interest for security);
  • comply with our legal obligations (basis: legal obligation).

4. Data Recipients

Your data is accessible to authorised CCIFA staff and to our technical service providers acting as processors, all bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations:

  • Synten (France) — Site hosting;
  • Brevo (France, European Union) — email and newsletter delivery;
  • Google (Google Analytics) — audience measurement.

Your data may be disclosed to the competent authorities where required by law. No data is sold or rented to third parties for commercial purposes.

5. Hosting and Transfers Outside the European Union

The Site is hosted in France (Synten) and your data is stored within the European Union. However, certain tools, such as Google Analytics, may involve a transfer of data to the United States; such transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards (EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for the duration of your relationship with the CCIFA and for no more than 12 months after the end of that relationship or your last contact, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Newsletter data is kept until you withdraw your consent. Data required by law is archived, where applicable, for the applicable legal period.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time and to set directives regarding your data after your death.
To exercise them, contact us at contact@ccifa-france.com (proof of identity may be requested). You may also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

8. Cookies

The Site uses technical cookies necessary for its operation and, subject to your consent, audience-measurement cookies (Google Analytics). You can accept, refuse or change your choices at any time via the consent banner or your browser settings. Refusing non-essential cookies does not affect access to the Site.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures (access controls, encrypted connections, backups) to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration.

10. Minors

The Site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed at persons under the age of 15. We do not knowingly collect data relating to minors.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
